HDD transfer kit included with elite?

Hi guys,

Quick question, can anyone who's bought an elite recently tell me if the HDD transfer kit in included in the package? The dvd drive on my console has gone, my new elite is purchased and on it's way to me, i just rang MS to order the transfer kit and was told it's now included in the elite package but can depend on the retailer (i bought from amazon) so i was wondering if some kind soul can confirm this for me?

I just bought the 360 holiday bundle on the 31st from Walmart and it did not come with the transfer kit

thats not true, they do not include the kit, My brother just bought the MW2 Bundle and it never had one, and my buddy got a Holiday Elite and no transfer Kit. Luckily I have a Memory Card so transfering saves only took like 10min for both of them.

No console has ever come with the transfer kit. The 120 GB hdd upgrade kit comes with it. You can also order one from Microsoft somehow.

Be careful if you try to order one off eBay. A lot of them are from China and don't work. I learned the hard way.

Not sure why it would include one unless you were buying a model specifically for replacing an old XBox. Including it in every package would be a waste of money.
