can someone explain exactly what the hdmi av cable for xbox does.I think it allows you to play 1080p. But it would also let me put my 360 onto my surround sound correct?? But I still could listen to the xbox through the tv speakers correct because of the hdmi to the tv and the audio to the surround sound.

oh yeah it also lets you use an optical wire for your surround system

you can get 1080p out o fyour componet cables if ur tv is HDCP compatiable witch is all tvs that came out thsi year. SO i fur tvs a year old you can 1080p on it

some systems support optical wire whichis a nicer clearer sound than the av wires. next to where you plug in the red and white cables, is a small square like opening, thats where you plug it in
