Hey guys

I just bought a new TV and i am upgrading from Component to HDMI,

My Elite came w/ the HDMI cable, but my issue is , it isnt long enough, i need a longer HDMI Cable, about 12-15 ft

Will any HDMI cable work, or are there specific ones for XBOX 360 that are compatible, or are all created Equal..

Can you HDMI users fill me in maybe

Thanks

I'm not sure if you could use any old HDMI for the 360(you might be able to though). But I found this for ya http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8388737&st=HDMI&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1179876309204 I have no idea how long it is though.

Dear god, don't spend that much on an hdmi cable. Be patience - use component with your 360 until you can get one shipped to from an online retailer such as monoprice.com - I don't think you should have to spend more than 20 dollars for a 15 foot cable. HDMI is a digital cable, so it either works or it doesnt. Expensive componet cables are better because they do a better job of getting the signal from your source to your display and minimize interference, so spending more makes sense. In the case of hdmi... you are only making stores more profit when you buy an overpriced Monster cable or similar.

I searched some sites, but the longest I can find is 10'. There may be some quality issues after a certain amount of feet. I would check on the specs and maybe move your 360 a little closer to the tv.

Yea, component may seem a little more reliable but at the same time if he is trying to get 1080p i have yet to see a tv take 1080p input from component. HDMI is a little too expensive for my taste so I'll take my sweet premium console, that has broken twice, and the 5 out of six cables I need to plug in and be quite happy. I do have one question though, why do u need that long of a HDMI cable?

15 feet is well within an acceptable distance for hdmi cabling. It's not that hard to find these cables... use computer shops, not large retailers like bestbuy monoprice.com $23 ncixus.com $10, yes... $10! link I'm sure amazon, and ebay have a decent selection as well.

The space in my room sucks, My Tv is going to have to sit up on top of my dresser, and there isnt enough room for my Elite, and my Ps3 to sit there as well, so they are across the room next to my laptop, so i can be connected online ...

Short answer MY ROOM IS TOO SMALL!!!! LOL I wouldnt have this issue if i could squeeze a Tv / ent stand in here!!! LOL

Thanks for the help guys
