I have the Xbox 360 premium edition, do I need HDMI cables to play quality HD games or are the cables that came with the 360 fine?

The cables are fine, but you will notice a slight visual increase with the hdmi cables.

I'm assuming you're using component cables. If you are, upgrading to HDMI will give you a slightly better picture. I've read that the difference is around %5.

Try and spend around 40 bucks for HDMI cables that are 6 feet and under. If you are going over 6 feet then I would say buy the 100 dollar Monster cables

The color quality will generally be better with the component cables, whereas the hdmi cable might give you more brightness. Unless your picture is particularly dark, I'd go with component. However, hdmi will carry the audio signal also, so if you're looking to connect with fewer cables, that might help you - depending on your setup.

You dont need to buy an expensive HDMI cable. the signal are digital so it wont matter. a cable to 20$ will give you the same quality as one to 100$. I would however choose HDMI anyday over component.

Monster cables are a rip off, check here if you want some good - cheap cables, remember Digital is Digital as long as the 0s and 1s are getting there thats all the matters.
