Technically HDMI is better but I can't tell a difference. An important question is whether you're using an external audio device. If so HDMI isn't that important. If you're using your tv's audio, then it might be worth it. I actually use HDMI because I get a weird color saturation thing that happens when I use the component cables, it's these weird purple and green bars that slowly move up the screen. They're faint but they drive me nuts. Has anyone else had this happen? If not then save the money and stick with component.mysteryman2024Im not sure if thats what is meant to happen (it also happens when I watch SKY or a movie) but the screens brightness is quite low. Is that normal?
[QUOTE="iam2green"]depends on if the tv is 1080p or not. hdmi is only good for 1080.choffyI would still recommend HDMI even if it displays in 1080i (like my TV) Anything 720p or lower makes the difference indistinguishable. Considering I dont care about graphics that much, is it worth spending money for that difference?

You can get a cable that's just as good for about $5
