can you use a hdmi cable on a xbox 360 premium?what do you need a hdmi cable for? i'm thinking about getting a philips 26inch hd lcd tv with surround sound so i need to know please!

HDMI is the optimal wire for HDTVs. You get the best out of you TV with it. I think only the Elite has it but it's well worth it. In my opinion.. Make sure the TV you plan on buying comes with HDMI ports..

The Xbox 360 Pro has the HDMI port (The Pro is basically the new Premium) and so does the Elite and probably the Halo 3 edition. If you have one of the older Premium editions then you are out of luck. But you can use the component cables that come with it for HD (the red, blue, and green cables). Just make sure to change the switch at the end of the cord from AV to HD.

HDMI cables and component cablesare both for HD.HDMI is just the best for it.
