i have a 720p hdtv and i want to know on what do games look better 720p or 1080i i also tried 1080p and you could play with it but my tvs manual says it goes up to 1080i how should i put my settings to

I don't remember there being a 1080i option on the 360, but if there is use that.

well ill try it out because i want the games to look good but then i hear people saying 720p loos better than 1080i is there any website that gives you info about this

Not a bad question. I just plugged in my HDMI wire and never tried to configure my 360. I got 1080I as well so I believe the game will automatically max out @ w/e resolution it is able 2.

you have too choose i dont know much on hatvs and im mostly trying to tell the difference using madden 09

hdtvs its not automatic you configure them yourself

It doesn't matter what resolution you use, because your TV is not displaying 1080i, it is accepting the 1080i input and then displaying it at the TV's native resolution, which in all likelihood is 1366x768.

So if you output 1280x720 or 1920x1080(i) your TV is going to take it and output it at 1366x768, so I guess it really is up to you and what looks best.

ok cool thanks ima try 720p i just read a article on it and it says its probably better than 1080i and its really close to 1080p
