Are they really worth it? I would get it mostly for gaming and possible FiOS or w/e it's called. I have about 1800$ saved up and i'm going to have a job that pays about 60$ a day over the summer (no taxes or anything).

Most definitley. The game I have seen the biigest improvement in graphically is Call of Duty 4, but it really makes the games look sharper and sometimes you will even notice little thing you hadn't before.

Yes, HD is a great thing, and you can get HDTVs for prices that leave you with spare money from that 1800 you have.

It's worth it I think if your big on console gaming, or just 360 gaming. If you play it casualy I don't think its worth it.

Yes. Even if its only 720p. I didn't even notice the art style of GTAIV until I bought my 32inch Westinghouse.

Don't go less then 42". And with the 360, you can stream HD videos off your PC! The 360 and HDtv's go hand in hand, you gotta own both.

Same here, I jumped from standard def to 1080p and I noticed all the detail in the weapons and far off buildings all of a sudden

Yes, just make sure that you research thoughtfully regarding models/display technologies, so you do not end up with a stinker. For $1800, you should be able to get quality HDTV though.

Yes its worth it, though if you're mostly just going to be using it for gaming its probably best to settle for 720p to save money. Some games actually play better on HDTVs, since the HUD is usually less cramped and the higher pixel density actually increases the draw distance (you have to be farther away before an object's pixels completely dissapear).
