In all fairness, in some games the jump just isn't that big. Truth be told, the biggest difference for me came when I first plugged the 360 into my HDTV and saw how crisp, large, clear, and vibrant the dashboard was. That and being able to understand the writing in Forza 2

I have two, a 65 inch and a 27 inch, it makes a much bigger difference than I ever expected.

Yes, I recently bought a 46' 1080p Samsung as well, and yes, it's amazing the detail you can see. It's the little things that amaze me.

Like just the other night, I was playing Rainbow Six Vegas, and there's this mission where you fight in the middle of the street to get to a casino.

I just happened to look at the ground, and what was strewn all over the place? Little porn cards!!! Just like they hand out in Vegas. I lol'd for a good minute and thought to myself, yep, they really captured Vegas.

Yeah, some of the manufacturers are saying that there isn't much difference between laser and plasma/lcd. I remember seeing plasma tvs available on ubid in 1996. But, it took almost a decade before supporting hardware was capable of optimizing the tv. We will have to see.

On subject, I have a 42" lcd hdtv. Yeah, I could see a huge difference in picture quality. Congrats on getting a hdtv.
