Judging by Halo 2, the single player will be crap and multiplayer will be fun. Watch them use the same boring story line as the first 2 and keep repeating the same stuff over and over. I think Halo in general is overrated.

Man Halo has sooo much hype behind it that all of the game review sites will loose support if they gave it less than a 9. Personally I dont see what the hype is all about halo 2 had fun multiplayer but nothing that i havent seen before I will still probably end up buying halo 3 but all of the fanboys need to take it easy.
if it sucks it sucks, if its great than its great. either way people are still going to buy it because it is a Halo title. there are going to be tons of forums on both subjects also, that is the day I take a break from the forums. a hundred threads about the game being great or sucking.
Halo 3 is going to have to be pretty revolutionary to be the best game EVER. I am sure it will be good. But the Halo thing has been done already. It will need a little more than fresh graphics and some new weapons to really surpass other games.
I'm sure it will be good but whatever, I'm getting kinda sick of the whole Halo thing, everytime I hear the word Halo I think of a bunch of pre-teens screaming profanities into their mics and it just pisses me off. There's a lot of good games coming out this fall, and I can promise you that if Brothers in Arms is even remotely close to as good as its predecessors I wont even touch Halo 3 until 2008...

oh...geee...i dont know pal....im a big half life 2 fan...and i think its a better all around game...i am more excited about HL2 orange box with episodes 1 and 2 (not to mention portal and TFC 2!!!!) then i am about halo....although....if they can get some artists to make halo less bland and a lil more emotional of an experience..well talk..

i think it will reclaim it's throne as the juggernaut of all consoles and snatch up another "game of the year" award...that's for sure. best game ever tho? mmmm, probably not. ( then again, i still think a couple SNES games are worthy of best game(s) ever :P )
it will be way better than halo 2. i know bungie is looking to outdo themselves and match the hype that's building up. the haters can hate all they want, but halo 3 will be untouchable.

Halo I agree will not be groundbreaking, rather a reiteration of what has already happened in the halo saga- with bells and whistles. Indeed how can a game which does nothing original become the best thing ever; the best Halo 3 can hope for is to be the best generic/derived game out there- which is what the previous two games did oh so well. Halo takes generic and makes it tight, thats all! :)
This game is going to be the greatest game ever created. It will get a 10 and get game of the year award. It is going to catch all the haters out there off guard. It is the last installment in the trilogy. They are holding nothing back. This game is going to be insane. I can't wait!
yeah i think hello 3 is going to be awesome i here you can wave to people and that is the x button . no its halo 3 and this doesnt really need to be disscussed yet at least until the beta starts and we have new info currently we all know its going to be good no point to guessing the score so early
I have enjoyed the Halo games through the years. However, there wasn't enough of a step forward between 1 and 2 to turn me into one of the "hardcore, Halo is the greatest" group. I think one of the main reasons is that the enemies just don't feel right to me. Granted that an alien race can be anything you want it to be. But IMO the enemies in Halo are a bit childish. Their squeeky voices and flamboyant color schemes just don't make me feel like they threaten me. I am interested to see how the enemy squad mechanics work in 3. Other than that though I am not chomping at the bit to play it.
I do think that is will be the best, or One of the very best games on the 360 IMgetting it without a doubt, but Idont think it will be the best game ever

'Cause they used the same storyline in Halo 2 as in Halo: CE? Yeah, I don't think so. Only someone with limited mental capacity would think that. Just saying.
Better than Hello 2: Konnichi wa? It will really have to expand of it renowned game play, and mltiplayer greeting action to be able to really top that.

so you don't think the chief leaving cortana behind on a flood infested ship has any emotional relevance to the story line? then you sure just don't have a simple thing called empathy....
does any1 here also think halo 2 was a piece of crap? seriosuly how could anybody like it, id rather kill covenants then play as one then all of a sudden the humans team up with the good covenants who arent bent on destroying the galaxy?! I dident mind the beginning but the game overall was horrible the only part that saved it was the multiplayer. Halo 3 probably wont be "the best game EVER" until it can save itself ,unless it does something revolutionary with its story and puts the combat rifle from halo 1 and no playing as a covenant i wanna kill some of them and play as master chief through the entire game.The term best game ever there is no such thing only you decide whats best for yourself.

 Spoken like a real Halo fan by TheSystemLord1. I agree buddy 100%. if you have kept up with Bungie, its pretty common knowledge that Halo 2, in other words, was really rushed to meet a deadline. hence, lacking ALOT. Halo 3 will be sick, im going to say 9.5+ because i do have a crystal ball.
?this time i hope bungie doesn't screw up the single-player just for the sake of multiplayer.honestly,its like they barely tried with the single player.
I agree, all the fanboys need to slow down. Im sure there will be some fun multiplayer times to be had here.. but I personally hate the story to both halo and halo 2. So yeah, it will serve as a way to have some fun times with friends, but BY FAR not even close to being the best game ever.
Best game ever? Nah. I will be good, but none of the Halo games have been goty material as far as my tastes are concerned. Halo: CE was passable and Halo 2 was really fun, but they arent my favorite fps' or my favorite games.
And I do hope that halo 3's multiplayer won't be ruined by 4723896532984723689 13 year old fanboys who get to use "THE F WORD" while their parents aren't home to hear them.

Yeah and that's what makes Halo great. The thing is, it doesn't need to be revolutionary...I'm confident that it WILL be one of the best games ever made. If you're not into the story, then fine but I'm sure there's many people like me who LOVE it and that's why I personally enjoy the Halo series and I don't play it solely for to 'kill stuff'. It doesn't need to completely change and I don't think that's grounds for an argument against it.

Why? What does it need? Halo 1 was awesome, Halo 2 MP can't be beat but the campaign story was confusing because it jumped between MC and the Arbiter (wasn't bad as people make it out and that's why). The devs said themselves recently that they were not happy with Halo 2 and they are determined to make Halo 3 the way they want it to be, mainly due to time/schedule management. That's my opinion, mind.
