HELP Buying New Console....Arcade or PRO??

ok so i am planning on buying a new XBOX 360 in the next day or 2.

Question is, Since i already have my HDD, should i just buy an Arcade? (dont have money for an elite, and frankly i dont need that much space on an HDD)

is the Only difference between the Arcade & the Pro the HDD? or is there something else im missing?

also, i read on Gamespots new article "xbox Guide' or whatever that there is a 30g Pro available for $250, but i cant seem to find anything but Arcades($200) & Elites($300) on gamestop/walmart/bestbuy.com(s)?

what gives, i almost want to get the 30g Pro, with a slighty larger HDD (which i can afford) and sell my other HDD after i transfer all my DLC. I heard that the new Arcade's have better chips so they are not as tollerant to RROD, any thruth to this?

bottom line, which Console should i get, keep in mind i still have my old HDD

The 360 PRO is a 60 gig HDD, not 30.

Since you already have an HDD just buy the Arcade. Plus the Arcades have the jasper chip which will help you out when it comes to cutting down on the RROD. Oh and it is probably 60gig Pro. There is no such thing as a 30 gig HDD for the 360.

If your happy with your old HDD size i say just get the arcade

I would buy the pro because if you are a seriuse gamer you will want to have it... if not buy the arcade. But im WARNING you about the arcade you have more of a chance getting a RED RING OF DEATH... IN MY OPPINON:)gotsupermilk

how is the arcade have a higher chance if it's jasper model like all the others?

i think i may just get the Arcade, and get a new hard drive later down the line.....

There were a lot of stupid comments in here...

1) They haven't made the Pro sku since summer so you won't find it in stores anywhere unless it's old stock.

2) All 360s now have Jasper mobos. Arcades have had them since November '08 and Elites since last spring.

3) The only difference internally between the Elite and Arcades are the Arcades have 512mb of storage on the mobo since it doesn't come with a HDD or mem card. They are both just as reliable.

Pro has been discontinued.

All the have now is the $199 Arcade, $299 PRO, $399 Modern Warfare 2 bundle.

I normally would never recommend an arcade, but you already have an HD. It's the better deal.
