Hi, I am trying to connect my xbox 360 to a pc monitor via hdmi and also to a 5.1 surround sound. Is this possible? 1. I bought an hdmi cable to connect to the pc monitor. All I need to do is connect the hdmi to the xbox then the other hdmi to monitor and that would be all I need to get video and sound onto my monitor? 2. The pc monitor I plan to buy has no built in speakers so I want to hook up to a 5.1 surround sound. How would I achieve this - the monitor has a Audio Out and Digital Audio Out port on back. I'm not sure which I'm suppose to use but I do want the better sound quality if possible. I also have no clue what to look for when buying speakers as in if will connect to my monitor. Any help is appreciated! Also if you could please not use too technical of terms since it is all quite confusing to me. Thanks!
Well, after doing some research I realized the 5.1 speakers I want do not have an optical port. I'm looking to buy the Logitech Z506 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers. I realize these won't produce the digital dolby 5.1 sound but will these at least give me a lower quality 5.1 surround sound? Or will these even work at all with xbox 360? These are basically the only speakers that would fit my budget (under $100) EDIT: So my real question I guess is: with the Logitech Z506 5.1 Speakers...when I connect them to my xbox 360, will they produce some sort of surround sound or will every speaker sound the same?
