help for a new 360

Hi. I'm kind of new to gamespot but immediatley fell in love with the site. Great vid. reviews, trailers, and all other helpfull sources of information. well, Christmas is coming up(my fav. holliday) and I might get a 360. if i do what games should i get and what accesories. Also, do i need the gold membership to play multiplayer on live or will the silver work?

how do i get an icon for forums and my profile?

Here are some stuff I recommend:

regular xbox package and buy one more wired controller its cheaper than that wireless. The wired one is like 40 bucks.

games I recommend:

Call of duty 4( the best) More like battlefield 2142 if you played.

Halo 3

Gears of war

Bioshock
