Help, I can't get on live.

Hey guys, I was wondering if you'd be able to help me out.

I just got my 360 a couple weeks ago, and decided I'd try and go on live yesterday, so I hook the same ethernet cable I use for my laptop up to the 360 and it cant connect. When It does the test, it says my connection doesn't have a sufficient MTU (maximum transmission unit), and I need to change my internet settings. The problem is, I live in a dorm, and therefore have no control over the internet settings. I know other guys on my floor are on live though. Any help and/or ideas would be much appreciated.

If you're into the party scene, you should dig it.

Also, about half the guys on my floor play COD4 constantly, so if you're into that, you'd be in luck.

you dont type in any password or anything to get on the internet?

I thought about calling support but I don't happen to be in the mood for being on hold all day. Oh well.
