NO actually, RROD is 3 red lights, one on the top left then the 2 on the bottom, after extensive googling E74 looks to be a prob with your A/V cables or your Harddrive, try playing without a Harddrive, or try out some new A/V cables, if you had your system for less then a year call Microsoft for a repair, only consoles that have the top left and bottom red lights are repaired under the 3 year.

Cycle the power, replug in the AV cord, power cords, and hard drive If it still has E74, call MS and get a coffin. Hopefully you're in the one year and get a free repair, if not itll cost you.

I got the e74 error a while ago - it's not so much the av cable, but the video processor has died - not much to do but replace the unit.

Personally I was lucky as I got my E74 error about 13 months after buying it from Best Buy - I had also bought the 2 yr replaement plan, so I brought it in to the store then walked out with a brand new unit the same day. Best part was my original unit came with the 20gb HDD, which I had already replaced with a 120gb HDD, but the I got the new 60 GB HDD with the new one.

Good luck

Ya wrong about the AV cable, I too just had this and it's more than likely the video/and or the GPU. Basically your screwed, call MS, if in warranty cool, hopefully they cover, it's hit or miss with this error. If not, find other means of getting your box back up and running friend ;)

For future reference, a forum is a board, or multiple boards. This is a thread, as well as the 'broken 360 help thread' is a thread. And only moderators can actually close threads.

Anyway, that stickied thread should definitely help you :)
