KOTOR1 and Mass Effect are kinda intense sometimes and gripping. Lost Odyssey and KOTOR2 are very gripping, but they aren't intense imo. They're really good though. Especially KOTOR2. I LOVE that game.
Alot of people say Bioshock and it was a GREAT game but if somthing is pimped too much and appears to be the end all be all you may be dissapointed cause your expectations are too high....or if you played System Shock 2 you may also be dissapointed

I played System Shock 2. I wasn't disappointed at all with Bioshock.
I suppose what we're both trying to say is that the OP should keep his expectations in check no matter what he chooses to play.

I agree with you. You definatly should get Fallout 3.
ya if you want to be bored to death. i felt there was no character connection between you and the npcs. all i can say, if it did have a good story they would have done a better job at convincing me not to blow up megaton...
Bioshock is definitely a good game, but as far as intensity goes, I think I know one that can beat it: The Darkness. Its story is what really pulls the whole game together - that and the voice acting. Just excellent!
