I bought DMC4 - played a few missions - and now I just haven't been able to get back into it. To me the game is not what I expected (not even sure what I expected, but figured it would be a bit more fun). Anyway, I have the option to trade it for Assassins Creed.

Should I make the trade? I've heard Assassins gets pretty redundant, but is it better than DMC4? Oh yea, I could also trade it for Burnout Paradise or PGR4 .... so of AC, BP, and PGR4, which would everyone pick? Or do I just keep DMC4 hoping it gets better?

Out of all the games you mentionned, I own PGR4 and Burnout Paradise. PGR4 is a great game but, Burnout Paradise is one of my all-time favorite arcade racing games. Long single player game and fantastic multiplayer.

I've played Assassin's Creed and I found it very good...but not a game I want to pay full price for.

If so far you dont like DMC4 it means its just not for you so you might as well trade it in before its price goes down, even if you are not sure what you want. (I think its a great game, got 60 hours out of it)

And out of the games you mentioned i have only experienced Burnout Paradise and AC. From my point of view BP has no replay value, its just drive around doing nothing at all, i dont think its worth more than $30. And AC its a good game that comes with a lot of new ideas, however if you are expecting a great story you will not find it here. The game mechanics are simple and fun, the story is shallow, the graphics are amazing, and some say its too repetitive (and so is driving a car through the same city for hours, as in BP) In my opinion you should rent both and wait for something better to come along.

DMC4 is a good game, and you do get to play as Dante later in the game, so I would suggest playing a couple more missons 1st and figure out some cool combo's, they really add more fun to the game

Stop playing on the easiest difficulty and try playing on normal. The DMC series is like most games in the sense that the fun factor goes up along with the difficulty. Also, don't just mash buttons, learn the combos. If, in fact, you do sell the game, I would recommend Burnout Paradise. If you don't like DMC4, then you will not have the full enjoyment of Assasin's Creed and you will notice the repetitiveness rather quickly.
