[QUOTE="Keitarourashima"][QUOTE="StinkySteveBOX"]imo, it helps when you hear some good feedback from the people... because i dont trust what games im going to buy off of a reviewer, i base it off what my fellow peers think of it too. and if a game gets good reviews and then all i hear from people is that it is repetative or that it doesnt have enough replay value to it. so i base whether to get a game or not if people think its a good game.... and the only other way for me to find out is to play it... and that will cost me some amount of money, whether i buy it or rent itChildeater10
But really ur listening to ppl's OPINIONS rather than the reviewers opinions, a reviewer doesn't just cover what he himself thinks of a game, he's actually covering what the game contains making it a more reliable source than "get it, it's good" don't you think? Reveiwers opionions are people opinions... Some are just better at it then others. I bet there are tons of people on these boards that review way better then any on the reviewers on the gamespot team. I personally dont mind the threads. Some people are broke and can only afford one. And with games like Mass Effect, Halo 3, Assassins Creed and Rock band. It's really hard for someone just to choose one. And besides it's not like this thread is revolutionary... I see these all the time, your not changing much.
I'm pretty sure a reviewers opinoin is a unbiased opinoin. or try to be.They are trying to give you the goods and bads so you can make the choice...like "this games single player is weak, buts its multiplayer makes up for it". so if you like multiplayer, you would enjoy "said" game. Halo 3 got rave reviwes. Technically, i agreed with both the good and bads on the review. Having never played any halo game, it was my first. I made my choice on the review. I love COD4 multiplayer, but hate GoW and Halo3 multiplayer
