Is this annoying to anyone else? They're on a site with reviews... player reviews, tons of footage and posted impressions, does there really need to be 10 threads like these on 2 pages? (exadurating but u get the picture).

If they can't make up their minds about what game to get I doubt these forums will help, mostly the responses they get are so varied I dont see how it would help one bit.

funny thing is, despite those threads, there's also always at least one or two just like this one.

hehe yeah, eventually everything is bound to be repeated, but can't we all agree these discussions might be better off on an official thread or something? cause I hate that it's hogging all the space that could be used better

I mean, there are ppl asking about hardware issues, or actually discussing the games and hardware, isn't this more of a "help me I have no brain, feel sorry for me" kind of thing? feels like they just grab for attention O.o

imo, it helps when you hear some good feedback from the people... because i dont trust what games im going to buy off of a reviewer, i base it off what my fellow peers think of it too. and if a game gets good reviews and then all i hear from people is that it is repetative or that it doesnt have enough replay value to it. so i base whether to get a game or not if people think its a good game.... and the only other way for me to find out is to play it... and that will cost me some amount of money, whether i buy it or rent it

But really ur listening to ppl's OPINIONS rather than the reviewers opinions, a reviewer doesn't just cover what he himself thinks of a game, he's actually covering what the game contains making it a more reliable source than "get it, it's good" don't you think?

Reveiwers opionions are people opinions... Some are just better at it then others. I bet there are tons of people on these boards that review way better then any on the reviewers on the gamespot team. I personally dont mind the threads. Some people are broke and can only afford one. And with games like Mass Effect, Halo 3, Assassins Creed and Rock band. It's really hard for someone just to choose one. And besides it's not like this thread is revolutionary... I see these all the time, your not changing much.

I'm pretty sure a reviewers opinoin is a unbiased opinoin. or try to be.They are trying to give you the goods and bads so you can make the choice...like "this games single player is weak, buts its multiplayer makes up for it". so if you like multiplayer, you would enjoy "said" game. Halo 3 got rave reviwes. Technically, i agreed with both the good and bads on the review. Having never played any halo game, it was my first. I made my choice on the review. I love COD4 multiplayer, but hate GoW and Halo3 multiplayer

Well a revolution was hardly the point, I just think it's taking up too much space, and yeah I know that alot of ppl review better than critics, I DID mention player reviews, there are tons, with all diffrent opinions, is this a good source or not? think ur just lazy if u don't check it all out, there are always player reviews where their opinions are being expressed, diversity can be found here in spades, I think there is enough info on gamespot controlled by the gaming community about every game that is released for it not to take over the forums, but really "Childeater" don't post anything if u haven't read the original post

Since we are talking 360 games...I would recommend

RPG - Eternal Sonata / Mass Effect

Shooter - Call of Duty 4 / Orange Box

Action/Adventure - Assassin's Creed

Want the most innovative and breath-taking experience EVER - Ace Combat 6 with Ace Edge (absolutely amazing)

Those should keep you busy for a good while.

Your thread title is misleading, and I don't really see the problem with "which game" threads. I talk games with alot of my friends, I never go on just reviews. Reviews also don't compare games, which is one of the big parts of these threads. It never hurts to get people's opinions, or discuss the pros and cons of certain games. Kinda what a forum is for, ya know?
