how did this happen!? i went to school! and my grampa turned it off in 3 hours! now it passed 4 hrs! how come it aint workin? it has 1 really red light and 2 slightly darker red lights!! i opened the window, then it was fine, but now it aint working!!
well i think dont play it for a day let it cool down 1st and then leave it the way the computer is if that doesnt work then get the cooling fan to help it get it in ebgames specificly for the 360

call the help line and then they'll send you a box and you put ur 360 in it you keep ur hd and everthing else and they get the box and if u live in canada they give you a new one and if you live in the us you get it fix for free if u still have warrenty

they lie pour a glass of deionized water into it. it'll clean it out and flush the system of all bad components and parasites. if you don't have any deionized water just boil a pot... be sure you let it cool before you pour it on there first. the heat could really mess it up. oh and do it in the tub

DUDE i JUST told you how to fix it. Why would you question ANYTHING you read on the internet. water + xbox = no more red lights.
edit: DO NOT USE TAP WATER! Be sure you at least filter the water first... and if at all possible boil it for around ten minutes and let it COMPLETELY cool doown. Or just go out and try to get some deionized water.
Either phone them so that they can send someone round with the correct water or do it yourself. Alternativly get a new Grandpa.freaky_monkey
dude i would NEVER reccomend any aftermarket water sellers. They jack their prices up and really aren't providing that much of a new service. i've even heard reports of people re using their filtered water... you'd think you pay someone 50 bucks to come fix your xbox and they'd at least let you keep the water... something about special aquifiers and whatnot. It's a sad jacked up world we live in where someone would be so dishonest in such an othewise honest industry.
I 2 live in Canada and this is wat i did, all u needs 2 do is call up microsoft then they will ask a few simpy questions, then a few days later they send u an empty box, with intructions inside, and a return sticker, and then u call the shipping company (Prolly purolator, hope ya speak french!) and they pick it up the next day or the day after, and then like 24-48h laatre u get it back! simple!!! (that is assuming u dont live near toronto, cuz they may try 2 repair it if ur close and that my take a while. I was considered 2 far.. in Ottawa....) well good luck!

To end everyone's Headache with this thread. First you call the xbox support number, which is the number that the guy gave you in the forum. You call them tell them the problem, they'll probably ask the serial number of the xbox, and they'll tell you what to do, then if they can't fix it from over the phone, they'll ask for your address, and then they'll send you a box. You take of your hardrive, and any other things on your xbox, and you just send the core xbox in the box they delivered to you. In a week or two, they will either A) Fix it and send it back, or B) Just give you a new core system.
Or you could just end it all, and plug the 360 in and sit in the bathtub with it.
