Help me, Oblivion glitch!

I was working with that dark elf guy in the fighters guild and he tells me to interrigate the Argonion mage I just captured for him, so I tell the mage to sit down like my dark elf supirior tells me and the mage walks off looking for a place to sit, the problom is that the only place to sit is miles away because my dark elf guy won't leave Atatar, what do I do?

I am too far into the game to reload the part where I first go to Atatar and the mage interigation, I will have to redo about ten fighters guild quests to get to the part I'm at.

but everytime you enter a city or house or anything with a load screen it will autosave, so you shouldnt have to go back that far, just go to tha autosave....

It's OK, I just had to escort an Argonian mage from Atatar to Chorrol which took me about an hour an a half of getting jumped by bandits and highwaymen and losing the mage for the seventh time during the fight.

Yeah I used to not save often and I learned the hard way....

Now I save like a mad man :P
