Hey fellow gamers, my parents aren't sure if I should spend my money on a 360 but I want to get one so does anyone have any tips on trying to convince them into letting me buy one with my own money. I'm responsible and get good grades and I play it at my friends house and my uncles but could someone give me some advice. Thanks
Just tell them that saving up for something is a big commitment, and you think that your choice in what you are buying is a responsible one. And just tell them that you worked hard to save up the money for the Xbox, and choosing what to buy with your money would teach you a good lesson about money management. If they say no at first, DO NOT complain, that will just make everything worse. Good luck on getting your Xbox. ;)
I had lots of problems too. It didn't help that I actually decided that the XBOX was a piece of crap a month later and decided to return it. And dont call me a Sony fanboy, but I bought a PS3 instead and am so much happier. I do not regret giving away Gears of War and Halo for MGS4, LBP, Uncharted, Killzone 2, Resistance, and so much more. But the way I convinced my parents was to prove that I earned it by getting good grades and keeping up good behaviour. Since I showed excellent maturity, I reasoned with my parents that I should have the ability to be utterly confident to buy the right system. (Too bad I turned out to be wrong...)
