Three red lights.  I had that once.  I just got really annoyed and started to repeatedly turn the system on and off nonstop until it worked again, no problems anymore and that was almost a year ago.  try changing the tv you are playing on and just continue to turn it on a off until it works.  switch games in and empty the tray from time to time.  I am aware this sounds stupid but i was frustrated and did not want to ship it to microsoft even though it was under warranty so yea, try it.

MS will probably have to fix it depending on what the problem is.  Usually the 3 red lights isn't good but MS can fix or replace the system usually within a week or so.

I had his problem to, after around an hour I decided to fiddle with the wires at the back. I found out that on the AV cable there is a switch, it was on HD, my tv is a normal one... So just try to change the setting, or push the wires in more firmly. Usualy the 3 red lights mean that an image is not being sent to the tv meaning tht the wires are loose or on the wrong setting. If this doesn't help you could consider getting a new scart lead. Sorry if this doesn't help.

Put it on the BBQ and grill it 3 min on each side. Serve with fries and beer....
