Okay, I have a media center computer and I was wondering, would I be able to use the video and audio input on my computer inorder to play xbox360 on my monitor using some kind of program, or would I need to get a VGA cable.

Well lets think about that....

You connect a monitor to a computer. So obviously the video plug on the computer outputs a signal. Same with the audio. Both are outputs. So NO you can not hook up your 360 to the computer that way.

You may however hook up the 360 to an LCD or Plasma monitor. As for sound....any receiver with RCA inputs should work. most TVs have them. If you plan on a monitor without speakers, then you will need a stereo receiver with RCA inputs. RED & WHITE
