Hey guys

I'm from Australia and I just want peoples opinion on something. I have a 20GB Pro and I need more space and my sister wants a 360 aswell. So I'm thinking of doing one of three things.

1) Buy a 60GB hard drive for about $130.

2) Sell my current one to my sister and buy an Elite which comes with COD World at War and Halo 3 ODST for $398.

3) Sell my current one to my sister and buy a 60GB Pro which comes with Halo 3, Halo Wars and Halo 3 ODST for $438.

thanks

i would say sell the console and buy the Elite w/ W@W and ODST. Althogh what games do you already have? Do you have any of the Halo games?

definitely not option 3. I wouldn't recommend option 2 either, unless if you really want Halo ODST. COD MW 2 will be out soon and COD WAW is only worth like $20. I'd recommend just getting a regular pro bundle or maybe the COD MW2 SE 360..or a regular Elite bundle. Those packages you listed are sort of a ripoff, just buying extra things overpriced. I'm not sure how it is to Australia, but dell and Amazon had good deals on 360's. Also, there is a $50 mail-in rebate that you get if you buy a 360 elite NEW, just go to xbox.com to find out about it. So my suggestion is buy just the system bundle and buy the games you want seperate, there's much newer better games and you can get those used on amazon for cheap. Reason I said no to 2 - I don't know how much you want Halo ODST, but I'd rather a different game and COD MW 2 will be out soon, COD WAW you can get for $20. Reason I said no to 3 - It's 40 dollars more and you're giving up 60 gb of the hard drive which is almost $50. Then Instead of COD WAW you're getting Halo 3 and Halo Wars. Halo 3 you can get for real cheap now used or new and Halo Wars isn't a game I'd be interested in. So 60gb=$50, which puts the difference in the bundles 2 and 3 about $100, then you're substituting COD: WAW for Halo 3 and Halo Wars. So for $100 you trade in that 1 game for those 2, that's what it really comes to. That's my advice, get the regular bundle.

Forget Option 1. The HDD's are overpriced and not worth spending that much on. But Option 2 and 3 are pretty tough to choose from. If you're interested in playing Halo and are willing to take the plunge for it, then go for Option 3. Halo 3 is my favorite shooter on the 360, ODST is like a sidestory to it and Halo Wars is the only strategy game I've ever completed (I usually get bored, but I'm a huge Halo fan and the simplified controls help).

Plus, it depends on your excitement for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. If you're way excited for it and want to get some CoD action in, then go for the ODST and World at War option.

Either choice is good, and I'm a huge Halo fan, so it's tempting to say "get the Halo package." But it's all about your preferences. The price difference isn't much, and the games are all very good (World at War, Halo 3, ODST and Halo Wars) so it's about preference.

Hey

Thanks for the replys. I think I'm going to get the elite. The elite here is about $400 itself and World at War is $60 and ODST is $60, so it's a good deal. I'm not sure what the price of the pro is. Do all the elites come with the jasper chip and are the elites quieter? also does installing games on the HD help make it run quieter?

thanks
