Ninja Gaiden 2 is an awesome game. Wicked awesome graphics and really fun game play. I just found it could be frustrating at times. Strategy guide is a must!
The DMC games are awful and sadly NG isn't for everyone. Try the demos and whichever one you like more then get that game. Even if it is *shudders* DMC.
