Help with cable internet?

ok heres the thing, i have cable internet, but i can't get xbl can some1 tell me if i need a wireless router or what plz?

Connect your router to your 360 with an ethernet cable. If your router is too far away (and it has wireless capabilities), get a wireless adapter for the Xbox 360. This adapter costs about $100 new.

LOL are you kidding me? Did you check before buying your router?

If it is a wireless router, it usually says "Wireless Router" on the box it came in. Also, wireless routers usually have an antenna like this:

Just plug your 360 into your router with an ethernet cable. It's as simple as that.

That doesn't matter! When you buy cable you specify whether you want wireless or not! I've had Comcast for as long as I can remember and they only give you a basic router. I had to go and buy a wireless router separately. The point is, if you have a router, you should know if it has wireless capabilities.
