If your laptop can connect to your router, then you can bridge your laptop connectio your 360.

You could set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-Xbox) network where you could share your internet. It's easy on a Vista computer, but I'm not sure how to on XP.

yea u can bridge it with your pc. How far is your router away from your xbox, cause you can go buy 20-50 foot ethernet cable to reach your router. My router is about 12 feet away from my xbox in another room i just bought a cat-5 ethernet cable and ran it under the floor back up tp my router. But if u do bridge it, its not going to be as fast as a wired connection. So you will prob get booted from a lot of matches, and downloads will be a pain
