Help with CO-OP in Crackdown

Ok me and a friend were trying to play Crackdown on coop, so I joined his game, but after about 5 minutes it says something about the connection was lost or something like that and I am sent back to the main menu, we tried it dozens of times but still can't get it to work properly, anyone know whats going on?

your internet connection is not strong enough to host a game?

My connection is fine, because I used to host games in Gears of War with no lag at all, the only thing I can think of is, my router has a strict NAT connection, do you think this would have anything to do with it? (I'm not hosting, I just joining my friend's who has a better connection then me.)

I have had the same problem when I tried to join a friends game and vice versa.  I can join random persons but not a friends for some reason.

Your router HAS a strict NAT connection? or you think it has strict NAT?  Nobody should be able to connect to you with strict NAT and vice verse.

That weird because I know I have a strict connection, but I can still connect for a little bit.
