You probably need VGA cables. They cost about 40 dollars. Make sure your monitor has the VGA connection. If it does, then your good to go. Also see what the resolution of your monitor is and change the display setting on your 360.

I would highly recomend using VGA cables on your HDTV, and setting it to your native resolution.  I have mine set to 1360x768.  Its probably the best thing on my TV.  1:1 pixel matching!  As for PC monitors, I wouldnt recomend using it if your resolution is 1280x1024 (or any 4:3) because some games will stretch the image to 5:4 and some wont.  There is no constant.

Your best bet for playing the 360 on a LCD monitor is first to have a widescreen monitor. From there you just need the 40 VGA cables to hook it up. It comes with a few adapters you might need for sound or extending the wire.

There are two routes to take when hooking up your 360. If the moniter has DVI and VGA then you can use digital connections or analog connections. With a vga adapter box you can use the basic av cable to connect via the VGA input, but this method has some problems. With analog the resolution and picture quality will be inferior to the digital alternative. Using the HDMI output on your 360 you can connect to an HDCP (see the label, manual, or online information to see if your moniter is HDCP ready) ready moniter. This provides a higher picture quality but without an HDCP ready moniter it will not work. With either message your best bet for audio is to use the basic av cables (red and white cables) to connect to speakers.
