hi, I have had xbox LIVE for a year now and it has all been well. But  just a month ago the NAT setting changed to Moderate it used to be Open . I havent changed any settings and my wireless adapter is Xbox LIVE compatible. All the ports that should be open are open so what could be the problem here?

Network Address Translation... :)

That's what I'm studying right now in CCNA.

I could go on a rant for a half an hour explaining what it means..

NAT is controlled at the Acess Point it self.

So if you are having problems with NAT, then you need to check the settings on your router.

I am in my 3rd class of CCNA, and I hate it. I am glad that my degree is more than networking, and that is just my electives. To answer about the NAT setting, you can just go to your routers gewey(interface) and  change the 360 port to DMZ, which is not sacured but it will be fine. There you will change the port itself by IP address / host. This will make the port open instead of moderate. This will solve the problem.

Okay,

Step 1. go to comand prompt on your computer,(comand line) type in ip config. this will be your Ip address, you are going to type in the default gateway's ip address into your address bar.

Step two. It should bring up your routers interface. then go to the port your 360 is on, find out its ip address and put it into the DMZ. this will place the NAT setting to open.
