I recently bought a plug and play charge kit (I think that's what it's called) to charge my controller. Whenever i plug it in while playing the red light on the kit turns on and after if i wanna turn the controller/console off the light doesn't stay. anyone know if i am using it properly and how would i know when it's done charging (other than through the xbox button). Also how long does a charge usually stay??

Please help me!!!

I've got one of these too, and let me tell you that they're pretty buggy from what I've experienced.

They work fine for me. If you connect your controller to your console when it is on the light should turn red to show it is charging. When you turn the console off it will continue to charge the controller until either the battery is full or you disconnect the play and charge kit. The USB ports on the console can be used to power devices while the console is turned off, though it isn't advised to use anything other than 360 accessories for this

Why use those system power sucking chords? your only helping hasten the depise of your system. Use the Quick charge kits which are far better and you can charge 2 batteries at the same time.

Check if the Xbox power light is blinking. I think it's like 15 seconds or so between blinks. That means the console is still somewhat active after you power down. Which in this case, would be that it's still feeding power to your system. The light may just turn off while it's charging when it's powered down. Just use up the battery once turn off the console and see if it still charges.

if you want to keep your controller charging, i believe it's in your system settings. you can have your console keep charging until it's done, or keep download until the download is complete. it's red when it's charging. when it's done, it will turn green. don't keep it plugged in when it's done charging, it will ruin the battery. also, they do not **** up your console. my boyfriend's had his xbox and play and charge kit since launch date, without any issues.

Yeah mine is pretty buggy. Sometimes it will continue to charge after the system is turned off and other times it doesn't. Either way I usually plug it into my computer to let it charge, that way I know it's charging until full.

I have one, it's called 'Play and Charge Kit'. It takes a very very long time to charge, so normally I plug it into my laptop's USB to charge overnight and it still wouldn;t be fully charged. It takes like 1 full day. You can tell if it's fully charged when the red light turns green.

or you could just charge it while you play. and then eventually it'll be charged enough to take the cable off.
