Here's my problem. I am trying to stream music and videos from my computer to my 360. When I try to select my computer on my 360, it doesn't find any computers with streaming software, but when I go into the WMP 11 sharing settings, it adds and accepts the 360. I have no clue what is wrong with it.zael99
I had some problems doing this. One thing you have to do is enable sharing of your media library I htink somewhere in WMP11. I can't remember what else I did before it worked.

I have gotten my Xbox connected to my PC before but I just reformated my computer. I have done all of the things you have suggested. I got the Zune software to work for now but would prefer WMP11 if possible. Can anyone help? If there's any more info you need just let me know.zael99

really not fully sure what list you are talking about your a little vague
its the update. your not using the wifi adapter are you? my suggestion is, USE TVERSITY. www.tversity.com.
I trust you but is this trustable and how does it work
PacBoy23
definately is trustable, Ive been using it since 360 launched and tversity was still in development. Its significantly improved since launch.
basically, the deal is..
turn off sharing in WMP/zune.
download tversity, current version 9.11.3a I think.
Install, then install the codec pack that comes with it.
double click TVersity icon on your desktop. Click on the settings tab then start server (if it isnt running already)
add your folders with your media(under sharing tab).
let it add.
allow TVersity in any firewall you may be running
go to your 360, media blade, then audio or video or pics whichever and enjoy.
its literally THAT simple.
You have to share the media. Make sure that you're in your music library (not your picture or video one) when you choose to share it with your 360. You'll need WMP11. I've got it and it works perfect for compatible MP4* and DivX/XviD.
Tversity is good when all else fails or for watching non-supported formats. Its a resource hog to your PC while watching movies though and library refresh for me takes FOREVER. If i'm not using my PC, i'm usually encoding something into a MP4 for backup and watching on my 360. I can't do that if i'm watching something via Tversity.
*I'll admit though, its MP4 support is a joke. It won't read files with multiple audio tracks or 5.1 audio. The 5.1 is reall a blow for me, because I backed up all my DVDs to 5.1 so I basically can't watch those files. The PS3 only supports stereo MP4, but it will dowmix from 5.1 and still play the file. I wish the 360 had this. I love 5.1 but I wouldn't mind stereo if it meant I could watch the content. Not only that, but the 360 doesn't support subtitiles in MP4. So basically, everything thats good about MP4 isn't supported by the 360. But TVersity won't read subtitles or multiple audio tracks either (although it will still play the files, it won't display subtitles and it chooses the 1st audio track by default).
