Before you do this try using a lens cleaner. I had the same problem, but every game said it. I could watch movies still and play CDs though. I called MS and they wanted to charge me $99 to send it in to them. I went out and got a lens cleaner for $13 and it fixed it.
For some reason my 360 tells me that some of my discs are unplayable while most of them work fine. All of my discs are in perfect condition, but my 360 seems to play favorites. My old CoD4 disc that is kinda dirty plays perfectly, but my brand new Condemned 2 game that has no scratches, dust, dirt, or anything else on it is "unplayable." I was also playing Dark Sector without any problems but now its telling me that Dark Sector is unplayable as well. I've heard that it could be a corrupt gamesave so I took out my harddrive but I still get the unplayable disc error message. Any suggestions?Zer0SFXSounds like your reader (the lens) may be screwed up, get the system checked out.
Same thing has been happening to me, just to clarify though-with a really stupid question-can I use any lense cleaner or would there be one specialized for a 360?silverelias
I don't know if they make them just for the system or not. i just got a DVD lens cleaner and it worked just fine.

So how did you use the lens cleaner? do you clean the disk or the lens in the 360?
