HELP!!! She has played this thing non-stop since i got it. I like the fact she is enjoying a game that I actually like, but man I dont want to seem selfish as I'm sure im gonna end up playing it more than her in the end. BUT MAN, ITS MEH NEW TOY!

My girlfriend loves this game also. She actually had it on her PS2 and played it tons. The only reason im getting it for my 360 is because of how much fun we had playing it together.. >_

true same thing here, never really played guitar hero before and wasnt planning on getting it but my girlfriend begged me and said i would love it and i do, we just alternate turns im goin to get another guitar sometime this week

Yea, that always worked with me and my brother (He had the ps2 version)... Untill I got TOO into it with the spinning like Fall Out Boy and the strap came loose and I dropped it... Needless to say he doesnt let me play no more

It was my gf's first time playing GHII last night so I sat back and watched but she was terrible. I had to tell her to stop. I told her she was killinig the rock gods. It was a sad sight...lol.
I wouldn't get another guitar. The minute you do that she will lose interest in the game and then you'll be stuck with two guitars. My wife is not a gamer but when I got my psp she became hooked on this fighting game called The Con. When ever she put the psp down and I picked it up she wanted to play it again. We almost ended up buying a second psp because she was so in love with this game. Needless to say once she got towards the end of the game and started getting her *** kicked because it got harder she had no use for a psp. I would've been stuck with not one but two dust collectors if I would've picked up the second psp.
What is the approx cost of a 2nd guiatar? She finally relinquished the thing last night after her eyes were falling out of her head. Which i stayed up till way past my bedtime and gonna have a bad case of draggin a$$ today.

Man, listen to these kids talk. You need to love, cherish and respect your wife. Respect and love will flow back to you. Anyone who says anything else is just trying to cover some sort of inadequacy. Now, all you need to do is listen to the cooler heads. Buy a second guitar. Let her know you're doing it so that the two of you can play together. You're building the relationship, getting time with your lady AND playing with your new toy. Problem solved.

Haha. It might be true though. I know after my wife and I have made sexy time, she pretty much forgets about the fact that I'm planning to play games for like 3 hours.
But for real, let her play it out. If she doesn't eventually get bored, buy that second guitar. If she does get bored, well, at least she's had her run and you haven't nagged her into stopping. Dude, I bought a second controller to get the wife into playing FIFA and a few other things, but it bores her to death. You've really got to appreciate how good it is to have her interest in this thing.
Can't wait to move closer to home so I can beat her brothers in FIFA and MLB.

I appreciate this comment. I tried looking out on gamestop/ebgames but they have nothing listed for what a 2nd guitar is running? PS2 ones are around 50-60. I dont really mind, she is taking an interest in a game actually

She likes playing Hexic and Bejewled. I showed her a video clip from Boom Boom Rocket which she liked. I mentioned the 2nd guitar to her and she seemed somewhat excited about it. I might go that route. Is multiplayer that great?
