Help!xbox freezing after mw2 update

Well today I got home and started up the 360 to play mw2,it asked for an update which I did and played for around 30mins,I'm with friends and when the next match loads up it freezes instead of showing the countdown to begin

I restarted my xbox and when the initial xbox logo appears,I get a patch of a bad image and it freezes there

Restarted xbox again and got 3 Red Rings

Restarted xbox again and played for 2 or 3 respawns during a match and when I was going into killcam it froze again and had to force it to shut down

The xbox is in a clear area and not on carpet or anything

I called microsoft(second I call regarding this console) and told them exactly what happened as above, they said they would repair it for free since I told them RROD comes up randomly right of the bat,they gave me an address to send the console along with a ref #.

I am worried that they wont fix it because it RRODSwhen it wants to (I am from puerto rico so I cant get a free coffin, I need to pay the shipping wich is kinda expensive to ship overseas)

has this happened to anyone else? these symptoms show both e74(the patch on the screen) and RROD (the freezing and lights)

edit: the console had 3 red rings around a year ago and I sent it and got it back repaired, not replcaed

also what does microsoft do when repairing the consoles?

the same stuff you see on the internet or replace internal things to make your 360 Un-RRODable?

Wow, I had the same thing happen to me. I got the update from Xbox Live and played for about an hour. I shut it off and went to go take a shower and when I came back and tryed turning my xbox on I got the three red rings.

Right now I am playing S&D and havent encountered a prob "Yet", last time's prob was during Hardcore TDM.

but I will be sending it off anyway on monday , I will be picking up my bros elite tonight so I have something to play while mines is repaired.

Anyone elses 360 acting funny while playing mw2?It would be nice to put all the symptoms in 1 thread.

also jasper consoles can get RROD apparently the LE MW2 version did...

I wish microsoft would build their consoles correctly

*sigh*I hope I get a replacement unit this time which I'm sure I wont

but a refurb Jasper would be nice but thats in my own little world far far away...

Well it went smooth until 27mins of playing tdm

froze again had to force shut down,reboot with RROD and then reboot again

(dies)

I did a little research and it looks like theres many more having the problem and that they have experienced a full RROD or extreme freezing while running the xbox

Whats funny is that a game is causing this

why and how the hell is what we dont know and its probably that mw2 is using every resource from the console to run, in other word the xbox has too much workand it is starting to fail at handling it.

I also watched vids of COD 4 giving E74 when it was released

also the new NXE started giving E74 to some consoles after installing it

maybe microsoft will say something about the issue, who knows...
