Hey all, new here! And dyin for SO4

Heya everyone just been lookin for some decent forums that have some good gaming conversations and thought id give gamespot forums a try :) i been around IGN a long time and just a little tired of how most people are there, so time for a change.

With that said, dying for SO4 and cant wait til this week, who else is just totally stoked for it to finally get here?

Id also like to add that i dont agree/like reviewers that much, so please dont be to harsh when i totally disagree with just about every review out there :p

I also loved SO3 which i know so many people hated for the ending, but i actually loved that twist being i hadnt really seen that done before in a game. And SO4 cant get here quick enough, i tell ya though from checkin the achievement list, looks like these are gonna be some toughies!

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS, BUDDY. :D Anyway, I fell in love with Star Ocean: The Second Story and fell in love again when Star Ocean: Till the End of Time was released. But I might not play this one. :P

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome ;) and yea i just assumed everyone was on board with what SO4 was being its out this week lol but either way cant wait for it!

As for my join date, yea 06 i think but it was only to post a question somewhere i think, i honestly didnt even remember if i posted here or not, i got about 30,000 posts at IGN and just need a new bunch to hang with and some new voices really :)

As for the reviews issue above, yea what i find with most reviews is just that they base their decisions off like one or two negatives and thats it, and then like wildfire it spreads and people will claim so and so game sucks because its only got a 6.5 or 7, when to me its all just so subjective...someones 9.0 rated game may be crappy to me and their 6.0 rated game may be fun to me, so i just dont even bother with reviews.

Ive also found that most reviews just put games on scales as a whole, so if Mr.FPSer fan that loves his shooters gets his hands on an rpg, chances are hes not going to be excited for it...so 9 times out of 10 i think you just get reviews based off their general bias to other genres.

But anyways, lookin forward to some good conversations!

never played a star ocean game but i like jrpgs and it looks good will i be able to follow the story being no familiar with the others?Lilyungblood08

yeah they close alot of topics when people staert getting into it about a game.its a forum we should be able to do that.

Really?? Hm, interesting. I enjoy a great debate as long as people just refrain from name calling and what not, and with some of my obscure opinions debates come often lol but its all in good fun, i just hope mods dont take it as being argumentative or what not like on other sites, its just odd.EdgeOfThorns316

When does SO4 come out?? i heard some people and wikipedia says it comes out the 24th on tuesday but on gamespot it says the 23rd???!?! :PBlkmamba33

The only jrpg I'd say that would come close this gen would be Eternal Sonata or Tales of VesperiaInfinite-Zr0
