Well I'm getting (well thinking about getting) a 360 on Wednesday when I get paid. I wanna know from you guys a few things first. 1) My TV monitor is NOT HD and the screen size is only about 14 inches wide. I've had no problems with it with other gaming systems but I want to know if it will work for 360? I don't care that it's not in HD, I will get a new TV when I get out of basic training but for now I want this one to last me. 2) I was thinking about getting the 360 pro, but I saw the arcade for much cheaper, since it has no memory does that mean I can't save ANYTHING? I want to go on live and play Halo and Left 4 Dead and all that good stuff That's all I got for now, thanks!

Your TV will be fine. It may make some of the text tough to read (all SD tv's have that issue) but that's it. And as for the system, the Arcade used to come with a memory card for saving stuff and allowing you to play online but it's better to get the pro because you save on having to buy a hard drive later and cables for when you get an HDtv. Plus, updates for games use up memory and if you ever wanted to purchase downloadable content for games, you won't be able to with just the memory card because it will get filled up fast. So yeah, best bet is the Pro system.

Yes definitely go pro, as you will be able to save your games. As for the tv, it will work it just might be a little hard to read some text some of the time, but you would be fine in terms of gameplay.

Ok cool :) I was also looking up how to hook my laptop to the 360 and right now I am interested in going that route, the only thing is when I get it all hooked up all I do is turn on the computer and it plays the 360 or what? I know I need to get the DVI cord and what not, I just don't know how to switch my regular computer screen to xbox screen, if that makes sense lol

Does your laptop actually have an input? Because most laptops don't so you wouldn't be able to use the screen.

I don't know all the techy names so bear with me My laptop has the blue part where you actually plug the cable that runs to the 360.

You can't use your laptop as a monitor unless it has an input. By connecting with the laptop you can use it as a gateway to get online, or if you have music on your laptop you can stream it from your computer to your 360.

You say input, what do you mean input? Where would it be and what does it look like?

Well, if your laptop had an input for VGA it would be a blue port with 15 pins (that's a male end) and a female end would go into it. More than likely though, your laptop probably just has a blue port with 15 holes (female end) where a male end would go. You may be able to install a TV tuner card into your laptop to plug in the 360 but that may be more money than it's worth.

Yeah it would be 15 pins or 15 holes, 3 sets of five in a row.

Pro is the way to go. Arcade might be cheaper but you keep having to buy new Memory cards for it every time you run out of room. and if you plan to play live believe me. You will!

either one dude. i have the arcade and u can save a few games on it. i just bought a used 20 GB hardrive and it works great. but if u are going to get xbox live right away then get the pro. and as far as which way to put ur console. if its verical the disc drive is less stable making a better chance scratch disks. if its horizontal the disk drive is a lot more stable but overheats a lot, although when you pay close attention the xbox has an hour glass shape to help. keep horizontal and after you've been using it alot change it so it doesn't freeze up. Dont move the console while disc is in the drive and turned on!!!

munchlax99

Dont get one of those, because they admitted that they are only doing that to get rid of the rest of the elites without the jasper chips, and if you are going to make that commitment get one with a jasper chip.
