i cant wait for the game mostly because i've been trying to get into the cardgame for sometime now,but i dont really like the thought of buying cards. hopefully the game will have a card trading system :)

not a chance mate.they will milk us dry. there will be no in game money, just leaderboards. youll have to buy decks or cards via xbl marketplace- exactly the way they did it with guitar hero song packs. that WILL be expensive.

well i can understand why they're doing it for rockband and GH3,but what are they going to do for this game? give us 1 deck for each color and expect us to buy better decks? nah im still banking on them using a money system to buy decks for beginners. just how else would they keep you playing the game after you win your first duel?

mabye for the newer decks being released in the coming months will cost something. the developers would be lucky if people even care about the game.
How they'll probably do it is just like they do it in real life. You'll have to pay for the game, then pay for each starter box or pack of cards, and build a deck off of that. Nickel and dime is the way to go for businesses apparently.

obviously mtg is not such high profile game but you have to keep one thing in mind: collector's mentality. wizards of the coast release huge expansion packs to the core game every 3 months for like 15 years - there are people who buy it no matter what. will be the same with xbla version. stainless games will have a group of players who will buy their new expansion every couple of weeks. even if the cards are cheap they will still get their money back. its WOW kind of thing on a much smaller scale.
