OMG, this is gonna be one really loooong week for me. I start a new job on Monday in a new city, new state. Little Rock AR to be exact. I thought it would be a lot easier on me to check into this extended stay hotel called Value Place and spend a month looking around and finally a great permanent apartment. They pay all your bills, you just pay 220 bucks a week. I brought my dvd player, dvds, and Xbox to feel right at home.

Bad choice! This place is worst than a roach motel. The bed is rock hard, cheap church basement chairs, and a small 22 SDTV with snowy cable channels. I tried hooking my Xbox into the audio video jacks, but nothing would come on either on channel 2, 3 or 4. Anyone got some suggestions or am I just SOL? This just really sucks to not be able to game until I can find an apartment, not to mention the back pain from the crappy bed!

Ouch, sounds like you got some problems. Well, there's a lot more you have to be concerned about, and you will be able to play your xbox again one day so there is light at the end of the tunnel. If you can't get the xbox to work, but still need some gaming goodness, I'm sure you can download and play an online game or something - you have a computer after all. If you want you can always come here and talk about whatever, or ask us for advice on where to find some stuff to play on the PC. (or MAC, if you have that.)

Oh, and you could try asking the staff there if they can get the xbox to work on the TV. Maybe they are aware of some settings on the TV that you don't know about, or something.

The Xbox not working should be the least of your problems after reading the description of the hotel you are staying in.  LOCK THE DOORS!  DO NOT TRUST HOUSE KEEPING!

Anyways

Channel 2,3 and 4 wont work on your 360 unless you are connected with an antenna adaptor (could be wrong.  I also dont think they sell that adaptor for the 360 :P )  If you are connecting with normal video cables you need to press the tv/video button on the TV for the image to be displayed.  If you can hook up your DVD then you can hook up your 360 to the tv.

Lol, well they only let you pay per week. If I leave now, I've thrown away $230 bucks. No refunds for leaving early. Guess that is how they get their money. They even charge .15 cents a minute for local calls, but thank goodness I have internet. Man, they even make you go buy batteries for the tv remote! Now that is cheap.

I don't know whether to leave my Xbox locked in my car trunk or bring it here in the apartment either since this is a high crime city.
