Hey i want an xbox 360 really bad but i dont know much about it

I used to have a regular xbox 2 years ago but it broke. My best friend has a 360 and i think its awesome great games and graphics. I am currently saving to buy a new console (PS3, Wii, 360). I think i have made my mind up on choosing the 360, but first i would like to have a few questions answered.

1. What is the difference from Xbox live silver to Xbox live gold ?

2. How sturdy well made is the console and wireless controllers ?

3. Is it worth the price ?

4. What are your top three favorite games ?

I will ask more questions when i have multiple replies to these four. All answers will be appreciated

1. silver allows you to have a buddy list, and etc. gold allows you to play against other people online

2. They are really sturdy

3. Yes it is, only problem is that it overheats sometimes, reccomend a intercooler
