Yea Xbox Live is pretty crappy when it comes to reliance. Especially Halo 3 now, I mean I have problems playing with friends and stuff. Xbox Live on 360 has had so many laggy ass games. I dont know what it is, but almost every game has lag issues. I mean especially early games like Prey, Saints Row, Call of Duty 2(used to be horrible), FarCry Instincts Predator(though the original Xbox one did too),and more recent ones like Call of Jurez, and Two Worlds(probably the worst). I dont remember having this many lag issues on the original Xbox. Microsoft really needs to get their act together!! I mean we are paying for this ****GreasyFetus69
All of those problems are probably caused by ur crappy connection. What do you have dial up?
The longer the ethernet cable the worse the connection gets, so maybe thats it otherwise idk.Tjr41991
cmon man you really believe that? I had a 50 ft cable with a perfect connection back home. its an extra 25 ft now sure but I doubt thats the problem
if other people are using the internet while your playing on live it uses up your bandwith which causes you to lag. JoshChambers
man are you sure? if thats the case I wont be able to play live for a LOOONG time. that or I start paying for my own connection.... *SIGHS*
there r 2 things that r the problem if u r lagging bad
1. u haven't port forwarded ur router ( find ur router model number go to http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm)
2. make sure ur xbox 360 is on exception list for firewall (if u don't know how to do that turn it off when ur playing 360)

Will the process of forwarding my ports disconnect the router or reset it at all? There are other people using this router so I dont want to ruin their connection

Um no, Im pretty sure everyone can agree that all the games I've listed have been really laggy at one time or another, until they are patched, but then some still consist with the lag. You have obviously never played some of the game I listed. Have you played Two Worlds? Its unplayable at times online, ask anyone whos played it. Call of Juarez gets very laggy if you get more than a few people in a room, same as Farcry like more than 8 and it starts to show. Prey when I had it was laggy. However some of these games may have been patched since I played them since I dont have any of these anymore except COJ.[QUOTE="JoshChambers"]if other people are using the internet while your playing on live it uses up your bandwith which causes you to lag. That's definitely true. If you are on wireless, not only does that hurt you further, but the more wireless connections in the area the worst it gets. Please Log In to post.
