COD3 isn't necessarly 'hard'. It's just that the game has major flaws in the scripted events that get you killed in impossible ways. I hated the game also. It was so terribly scripted. Just a horrible game in my opinion. COD2 was much better.FearlessSpiritI played CoD 2 on PC and finished around 1/2 of it on Vet, i didnt bother with the rest, but some levels are plain IMPOSSIBLE. Man it must be hard on the 360 with a gamepad and no lean.

COD2 is hard on Veteran. But COD3 is seriously suffering from flaws in the scripted events at some points in the game. Example; You are in a squad of three men. You're in a bunker. The other two guys in your squad run outside the bunker and they just keep running somewhere. Nothing happens. So, you're thinking like a human being; ok, that was stupid to just run out, but they aren't getting shot so it must be safe. So, you also go outside the bunker, and then you get killed by enemies that were apperently there all along. They don't shoot at you're teammates, only at you.
What happened there was just a flaw in the event. The agression of the enemies was triggered when you went through the door. When you're teammates ran through the door, nothing happened because it is you that triggers the event.
If you are familiar with mission editors for games that make use of scripted events and you've done some scripting yourself, you would understand the scripting in this game is just flawed. The conditions for the actions to be triggered are just so bad. It's a pain. In my opinion offcourse.
In COD2 the conditions were near perfectly set. COD2 was hard because it was actually hard. COD3 was hard because it was flawed and bugged all over. It was just annoying.

Hmm that makes a lot of sense. One thing i didnt like about CoD 2 was the respawning, you really had to take risks at times because while your enemies are being refreshed until you actually get there, sometimes your teamates will take out JUST enough so it isnt quite a suicide mission but JUST.COD3 isn't necessarly 'hard'. yep, COD2 was great, COD3 was boring
COD3 is not hard just very buggy. Cannot shoot through windows, Shoot Germans at point blank and no death, Grenades get stuck in mid air, while walking you get stuck onrocks or small wood pieces layingon the ground, and the dumb little games you play to plant explosives. I believe one of your levels may have been played under a different difficulty setting. Same happened here, had a family member play a different difficulty setting and forgot to change back so I beat the game twice under Hardened and Veteran on half of the levels. If not, then I would be just a little ticked and possibly screamed like a 5 year old.

You forgot to mention the most annoying bug of them all: Constantly being shot through cover. If you go to the trouble of making cover in a game, at least make sure that bullets cannot pass through.
