awhile ago, after fable 1 was released and I had gotten 50 hours in it and all that and went to the lionhead forums and posted some suggestions
1 was about the emotional side to RPG's I was mentioning that the family dying didnt mean crap cause you didnt know them or care about them, then I gave a bunch of suggestions like FF7 and ToS, now I watch video's like this one http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/741/741361/vids_1.html and I see him talking about how you need to care about the characters and such and Im like OMG yay maybe I got through, the topic did get alot of replies, and you never know if devs actually read their forums but IDK

another suggestion I gave was a sandbox type of thing, a RPG GTA, more like morrowind or something (hadnt played oblivion yet then ;p ) and allowing more freedom of movement and exploration

and now I watch this demo and you see the wide open world in where he demonstraited the dog and stuff
that topic also got alot of replies and such, I was even suggesting to have graphics take a backseat to this feature

cause GTA wasnt exactly the best graphical achievement last gen, but it certainly sold the most

Peter Molynuex is a good guy, I dont blame him for over promising in Fable, he was just being excited for his game, I know I would be like him if I was a dev

that enthusiasm is meant to be there, the love for the game and putting your all into it
cause if you dont think your game is the greatest game ever, who will?

I hope the new one delivers the good. I just saw the gs interview and it was very promising. I do have a question though. Is that man on something??? I mean, I could't understand half of the thigs he said. Like he was drunk or smth...

They have to add a lot more things to do in the towns. Video game worlds always seem empty, the towns suck. Some games use them as a hub, but there arent many activities or sub-plots or additional quests. I notice a lot of this in hindsight.

I'm sure that a lot of people made those same suggestions, but good job none the less. What if when fable 2 was shipped, and you got a copy in the mail, and there was a hand written note that said 'Thanks -PM'. How bad would you flip out?

"Molyneux" sounds French. I'm from Canada and a lot of French names here are spelled like that (the "eux" in particular).  Peter Molyneux is a pretty thoughtful guy who always seems to give a crap about how much he can do in a game. There are a few developers who do this and it's refreshing. Whether or not we like the game, we know these people are at least trying.  That's probably why he over-promised and that's why he's probably had a million brainstorms in the process of developing Fable 2.  Emotional attachment makes a whole lot of sense in really story-driven games such as RPG's. Incidentally, if you're a fan of this stuff, you need to get Oblivion!  It's Morrowind with absolutely no drawbacks.  And beautiful graphics to boot.  If you thought the combat and leveling up (or a lack of direction) were perhaps slightly weak points in Morrowind, Oblivion has improved on all these things while maintaining a great "sandbox" feel.
