I like horizontal, I dont want mine to fall over and break. They never take back the 360 for repairs if it was damaged by act of god, it says so in the warranty.
horizontal for sure.Having it vertical did something to the fan so I had to have it replaced. But its all good now that its horizontal. But its even better suspendedin mid air

They don't use those exact words in the warranty statement do they?
I bought my 360 about a month and a half ago and I stood it vertically 'cuz I thought that's how it's supposed to go and all, by the second day I had it, I got the 3 red lights of doom. So I took it back to the store, got a new one, and it's been horizontal ever since and I haven't had a problem with it (knock on my mother-in-laws head). ;)
I'm kinda bummed about my first 360 (died two weeks ago :() because I like it better horizontal, but mine died when it was vertical, and it sometimes wouldn't recognize my disks because of it....
But the strange thing is is that my 360 is marginally cooler when it was vertical, and now it get's pretty hot after a while.....
