Horizontal or Vertical, does it really matter?

I've always had my 360 horizontal, but I'm probably moving it to a place where I wouldn't have as much room so I would make it vertical. About that long myth thats been going around for a while, does having the 360 vertical make it have a greater chance or breaking? Help me out, thanks.

i do believe that it will increase the chance of scratching discs, hence why you see so few Vertical drives on anything. I would warn u of this tho, you say its going into a tighter area, just make sure you still have excellent area around it for airflow, the last thing you need is a overheated system, and the 3Rings of Death. Just something to think about, if they Vert doesnt get you, the overheat might.

I didn't like it vertical.  I have my PC and 360 on either side of my monitor, and to make it look nice I wanted the 360 vertical to match with my PC...lol.  anyway, sometimes the disc would fall out of the tray when I went to take it out, that's my error though but still I mean it's sensitive.  I put it horizontal after that.  Keep it well ventelated, out in the open.

Consoles should stay horizontal where they belong. CD Drives are made that way for a reason.

I keep mine horizontal next to my monitor. Mainly cause my cat jumps on my desk and I can just see him knocking it over.
