How are gas prices changing your gaming expirence?????

well not so bad really. my car gets almost 30 mpg i believe and if i drive it careful i hardly ever have to fill up. though people ride my ass but hey you are free to waste all the gas you want once i turn or you pass me.

ANYWAYS i probably spend a bit more $$$ on gas but it doesn't effect how often i go do stuff.

i don't spend every penny i have on video games so there isn't really any effect.

I try to walk more in GTA 4 as not to burn excess fuel.

Seriously - with gas at about $4.20 a gallon now in upstate NY, I only drive if I have to, so i'm home more, so I play a bit more.

Hasn't affected my gaming much. I still try to get in a fair amount on saturday and a little on sunday. And still like to purchase games like normal. Luckily it's the summer, and I love spending time outside by my pool or going bike riding.

I may not drive to hang out with friends as much who live 30 miles away, and actually make a shopping list for groceries to limit the pointless quick trips to the store. So I think this has helped from the huge price increase. However I am getting an old datsun Z that I've always wanted and will surely get worse gas mileage than i am now, but oh well. But I'm probably getting a scooter or small motorcycle soon for my Monday-Thursday work commute which luckily isn't but 10 miles each way on a side road. That'll keep my Z low mileage and gas would only run me about $5 a week. Plus it'd be fun riding around town on one of those. I do miss being able to just drive around for kicks to places I felt like visiting randomly. That's not happening right now.

I don't make as many trips to the mall and Best Buy just to look at games. Must say I download more off of Steam lately just because their selection has gotten even better and their prices are excellent.

My car isn't too bad on gas for a V6, but when I'm driving 100mph on the freeway with the A/C full blast I can seriously just watch the needle go down.

So I play more racing games and drive slower. :P

Well, that's what I should be doing, but I have a lead foot.

I can't say it's affected me. Both gas money and gaming take up a relatively small percentage of my budget.

Ever hear of a gross oversimplification? If some people are stuck at home due to gas prices, they might spend more time gaming, rather than indulging hobbies that involve driving somewhere. However, as gas prices increase, that decreases available cash for luxury goods, like games. This might hurt some gamers.
