how can i check if an xbox 360 has been opened before?

im buying a 250gb xbox 360 with kinect for pretty much $200 less on craigslist. his ad says its never been opened, and when i asked him he said " nope, never been opened, it still has the sticker on it." who cares if it still has the sticker on it, a sticker seal is easy to fake. how can i make sure that its never been opened? should i follow him in my car while im opening it up at the same time?

Take off the Face plate and see if the Warranty Seal Has been Tampered or taken off but if its one of the Newer Slimer 360's There's less of a Chance of the Previous owner had to Replace anything becuase the newer ones where built much better than the old Fat White 360's now the only reason he would of opened it would be To Flash the Drive so you can play Burned Games so if its the new black slim 360 and warranty Seal looks as if it hasnt been tampered with or taken off and you can test it out before you Buy it then Go For it cause if it was made play Burned games he would probably given you his burned games (360 Backups) with it or selling them separately but usually they sell the Backup-Games with the Console.

But you Always have to watch out when it comes to buying used Expensive Electronics on craigslist evan though i bought Mine on craigslist and i tested it at the owners house and checked the warranty seal and then we set up a Deal some people may dissagree but set up the place where you meet At his House because if he's Scamming you he wouldnt want you meeting him at his house so you can test the console and the kinect cause scammers dont want you to find them after stealing money from you and if you know where he lives where can he Hide From when you come back.

Wait when you say Never been Open do mean the box itself that which the console came in? Or A Used Console that has never been open?

Because if its sapposivley Sealed! in the box and never been open it sounds to Risky to me and sounds like a Scam unless he lets you open it in his house and test it and if you do that dont go to his house Alone bring some one with you or a few others with you.

What else were you expecting him to say? The sticker is the only real way you're going to be able to tell.

If you want the peace of mind of knowing your Xbox hasn't be tampered with, buy one new. Simple!

if some one says its sealed and never been open and its so CHEAP that its to good to be True it Probably is - they also refuse to have you come to there house and pick it up its more likley a SCAM especially used electronic items cause no matter what you Need to test it out before you BUY and if they refuse to let you test it out before you BUY THERE SCAMMING YOU. - - - - Sorry Buddy
