recently, i do not know why, but halo 3 has stopped working, which sucks. when i put the disk inside you hear it spin, but then it just starts to repeat, you can tell by the spinning sound. and after a bit, the 360 says that the game is a unreadable disk, so how can i clean halo 3 while at home? i wiped it with my shirt, but nothing.

take some steel wool and rub it onto the shiny side of the disc for about 5 minutes.

I always clean my disks with soft cloth, I suggest you try that.

Actually I have a tip for you which I got from a buddy of mine which helps get scratches off CD's. I have tried it and it works. There is a product called ScratchX which is made for taking scratchs out of the clear coats on auto paint. You can also use it on CD's to remove scratches. It takes some elbow grease and I receommend doing it with a microfiber cloth if you have one but it will get even deep scratches out of CD's.

Go to a local used gameshop, They usually have a resurfacer and do it for free or really cheap(like a dollar).

It basically removes the plastic to where the scratches are gone. I've had many PS2 games fixed up thanks to the machine.
