all the developers you guys listed are awesome, however, if they teamed up, give some suggestions of how they could make a game that would be so awesome. what elements could the two developers put together to make a brand new game?
i know i have no ideas (actually cuz i don't want to think) but i would like to know what cool ideas people have about developers getting together.
I would think Ubisoft and Rare would be better. Imagine combining the talent behind Prince Of Persia/Splinter Cell/Rayman with the people that made Banjo Kazooie/Donkey Kong way back on the N64. If they made any kind of action/adventure/platformer type of game they could charge $100 bucks for it and I'd still buy it...let alone sell my soul for it :lol:
I'd say that developers for different genres should work together. Like say Bioware(RPG) and Valve(FPS) would make a shooter with rpg elements, and do it well. That way you have the elements of two genres, both beign done extremely well. If it were two mainly FPS developers, like Valve and Bungie, I don't think the outcome would be as good because it would just be a shooter(although it would be a good one).
wow you realize how long it would take for them to make a game? making a game nowadays is complicated enough with one team, but 2 teams? popular ones no less, that'll take a looooong time. there's an article of developers vs. producers in a game informer magazine.....they'd just argue alot....
I'll tell you what...It would be a massive orgy of uninspired gameplay, with cheesy 2-bit graphics, and a story line, along with proper voice acting, to match that of a 3 yr old special ed book. That's what you get, or a big water pipe with a bungie cord tied around it.
