I was surprised that some people didn't like the Strangle Hold demo. It was one of the most action packed games I ever played and it was really long. It was awesome sliding down starway poles, shooting signs on top of people, dueling, rolling on carts blazing, precision aiming, ETC. Even the cutscenes were top notch. This was honestly the best demo I have played on the 360 thus far. But for some reason people were complaining about the silliest stuff. This game is truly next gen action, non-stop. Unless you don't like action games, I don't see how you wouldn't like it? And if you do like this game, you should watch Hard Boiled the movie with Chow Yun Fat.The games basedon this and very action packed.

Cool demo, one I would borrow from my housemate to play, I dont see why people are complaining or saying its bad because its pretty decent.. but you might want to post these in one of the other billion created threads instead of making a new one =)

I myself love action games, but StrangleHold just got boring after a while, not to mention thatthe enemy AI wasn't too sharp.

Reminded me of True Crime. The demo was cool at first, but the run and gun action got tiring.

The demo was decent. I think the forum hyped up the gameplay, before I downloaded it. So, I was a little disappointed with the gameplay. I might rent it.

See I read all bad stuff and didn't expect it to be very good. Then when I got home and played it I loved it! I was wondering if I was the only one who thought it was terrific?

The demo was a lot of fun but I do see how it could get boring after a while. That's pretty much the case with most single player games though. I'll wait to see how the multiplayer is before making any judgement on the game. From the clips i've seen though it does look very cool.

I think the demo is fun, which IMO is the most important part to a game. However, there are lots of glaring flaws with it. The textures are horribly bland, the AI is pathetic (either the bad guys just stand there under something that can be shot to fall on their heads or they run straight at you), the camera is wonky, and the animations are pretty rough. That being said, it is just the demo, so the retail version could be a lot more polished. Plus, like I said, it is really fun to play and I play games to have fun.

I thought this game was pretty good..best demo by far.. and the precision shot and the spin attack were good as well, butthe thing that confused me was the actual gameplay looked better than the cut-scenes... is it just me or was that like it for other people?

The reason some people dont like it is not because of the gameplay. Its because some people just need to be buttholes and be different. They feel the need to go against the grain, and therefore never open their mind to play the game in the first place. Pretty sad, but hey, they are the idiots missing out on a great game, not us! he he he he:twisted:

it was cool at first but u really dont have alot of control over everything, like u cant reload ui dont htink u can pistol whip anyone, and everything seems to be like preset on how all the enemies die, its fun to play a game were the same level might be a little different the second time u play it but it doesnt seem liek this has that

I never even noticed reloading, once...Definately not an issue, you can pistol whip somebody, just get close enough and hit the right trigger and you'll be whipping everybody in the face in no time.

I enjoyed Stranglehold a lot, it was very fun. I'm picking it up.

Even if you don't buy it, it would still make a incredible rental.

I thought the game was OK. Based on the demo only, I would say that it will end up being a 8.0 game. While action-packed, the game became rather repetitive. I didn't enjoy sliding over every conceivable surface merely because I came in contact with it. My character could be at a standstill next to a waist high surface when, with just barely any movement forward, the character would slide about five feet. It felt silly. The standoffs were similarly silly. The standoffs were like dodging punches in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! back in the day. It will be a rental for me, I think.
